I tried to do a search on how to make a cupcake cake, but the search engine is down. I need help with making a cupcake cake. I am doing a wreath for some teachers tomorrow. The pictures look like it might be easy, but how do you get the cupcakes not to shift when the icing is on? Anything else I need to know?

a dab of buttercream on the bottoms of the cupcakes or poking a tooth pick into the cake board then placing the cupcake on top of the toothpick

While I was looking it up to post here, I see somebody else beat me to it. Well since I have it, here it is. The tutorial by Cali4dawn: http://community.webshots.com/album/105830324epGFhn

Good luck with them. It's pretty easy.

After you take the cupcakes out of the oven, gently push each one down with a towel or use a cookie sheet to cover them so that they will be level.

After you get the shape that you want, apply some icing to the bottom of each outside cupcake and then ice as you would a cake.

You will do fine thumbs_up.gif
