My husband and I have decided to have a games night with just the two of us. We figure it's better than a movie, because you can't talk during a movie, and cheaper than going out for dinner every week! So I'm wondering what are some of your favorite board games or card games that can be played with only two people?!

Well, Eucre is my favorite card game but it's for 4 people...but you could play Rummy or Cribbage. Those are my favorites besides Eucre. Oh yeah...and there's Poker...and since it's just your husband, you could do strip Poker. My husband and I have played that before icon_wink.gif

board games...I like Trivial Pursuit (the easier versions). Have you ever played Jenga? It can be alot of fun. I always like to start playing Monopoly and Risk but those always take too long. I don't think I've ever finished a game of those.

My DH and I are big board gamers. When the kids go off to bed and nothing's on tv the games come out. Our favorites are Scrabble, Uno, Monopoly (we play the shorter version), upwords, and life. Scrabble and Uno are our the ones we play the most. I think we might buy the new Monopoly game. It has a digital bank that keeps track of everyones money. We love board games! HTH.

Here is a great website that sells european board games. They require a little strategy as opposed to chance games such as monoploy.

Some good two player games we like are "lost cities", "hera and zeus", "ceasar and cleopatra", "Kahuna", and a series of games called the "GIPF project".

My family loves to play Fill or Bust. It's a combination card and dice game.

I also love Boggle and Scene It. It would be hard to play Scene It with only two people though.

sweetness_221 - how do you play a shorter version of monopoly? I love that game but it takes forever!

We usually play the timed version. I believe it's like 2 hours or less if you wanted and then at the end of that time you add up everything you have to see who won. That way we aren't playing all night.

My husband and I like to play Scrabble, Rummikub, Upwords, Connect Four, Boggle, Scattergories and Sequence. We also play a game called A to Z which is really fun! Sequence and Rummikub can go really fast.

We like to go camping and it's a great chance to play games. When it's just us we like to play cards- Rummy,Kings Corners and Uno. We just bought the new Uno Spin which can get pretty evil between me and the BF icon_evil.gif )hehe)but fun.

We also like to have friends over for dinner and drinks and always play games like Cranium,Scatagories(sp),balderdash..ect..
Usually the guys against the girls and boy do the guys get cocky when they win but sure get all quiet when they lose.LOL
