Hi all- My original idea was to do a sheet cake for a field and a 3-D football stacked on top. Now, the mother wants a CCC. Do you think that I can still stack the 3-D football on top? Use dowels into the cupcakes ? Use Rice Krispie Treats so that it is lighter or regular cake? Will the CCC hold up?

Thanks

Delia

I think the cupcakes might separate and allow the ball to drop into the center.

If It was me, I would try supporting the ball (on it's own board) above the surface of the cupcakes. If you used double foancore, you could drive the support dowels into the board, between the cupcakes.

I agree with JoAnnB for all the same reasons.

How about making the cake board look like the field and the ccc like a football?
