am planning to take a birthday cake that has 3 tier 14 and 12 and 8 and I was wondering would it be okoy to set up here at my home its only 5 min maybe 2.9 miles from were I live without it falling?
If you do pre-assemble it make sure that the tiers are doweled and that you run a center dowel through it it keep the tiers in line. I delivered one assembled and it was fine but I was a nervous wreck!
Good luck!

I would say set it up when you get there.... I would be afraid that one good BUMP and the whole thing topples.
hmmm ~ if you do - be very careful. I'd just stack them when I got there to be safe. Mine was stacked so I was able to run a dowel through to keep them from toppling in case I had to make a sudden stop or something.

I don't know about you but I have trouble just getting the cakes into the van. I put way too much work into the cake to take any chances. What if an animal runs in front of your vehicle?
Although I know the cake is in the van - I'd jam on my brakes just out of impulse. No chances taken here. Call me chicken no matter what the distance.
BJ, I don't think your chicken, I wouldn't dream of even taken a chance on one of my cakes getting messed up. I have to deliver one this Sunday and I don't pre-stack and I am already stressing over it and I don't have far to go either, so I am with you![]()
