can someone tell me how to make a cake to look as if the icing to dripping or spilling around the cake. such as a chocolate icing and what type of icing would be best for this affect?

You may be referring to chocolate ganache, which is poured over the cake. There is a recipe in the recipe section.

After you ice your cake, pour over the cooled ganache.

You could also use a thinned icing over your cake for a different effect.

You could also use white chocolate ganache and color it to suit your need.
