Anyone Hate Ck's Hi Ratio Shortening?

The first time I purchased the CK brand I didn't like it. I bought it again because it was the only thing I could find locally and it was better the second time. I wondered if the first container had set too long on the shelf.

I use Alpine for icing. I just bought Dawn's Hi Ratio for cakes, about $35 for 50 pounds and I like it a lot. Unfortunately I also bought a 50 cube of trans-fat free and that stuff sucks, as does all trans fat free shortening. Currently I'm mixing in some of the TTF stuff just to get rid of it.
I know Janette uses and recommends the CK brand:

The baker's kitchen has very reasonable shipping (see above thread).

The first and only time I bought the ck product it had black specks. They tried to blame it on my son. They did replace it and I opened another in front of them. Right on top were more black spots. I didn't really like the shortening either. I liked the sweetex alot better.
I vote for the Sweetex. I haven't tried the CK brand, but I do use a lot of their other products and been happy with them. I found my local restaurant supply could order the Sweetex for me in the 50# blocks, so I go that way since I don't have to pay any shipping. I would see if you can find something local.
