my mom and I used to make this stuff when I was a teenager for Christmas every year.....we would take white candy melts and melt them and mix in crushed up candy canes and spread it out onto a cookie sheet and pop it in the freezer to firm up again. then break it into big chunks like brittle almost.......it's delicious......I'll bet you could easily do the andes bits in place of the candy cane......

Okay, first things first, where'd you find those!?

Secondly - you could mix them in anything calling for chocolate, mint or candy cane pieces. Because they're pretty soft, you will want to be careful of the missing crunch of a candy cane. But I bet you could find all sorts of ideas.

How about making deep chocolate cupcakes, and making a gooey buttercream filling studded with those bits, and fill the centers - your very own version of a Hostess cupcake!

Hi MrsW. I ran across this on the web:

60 Second Chocolate Mousse

1 cup chocolate chips (or mint chocolate chips, raspberry chocolate chips, Andes candies bits, etc. etc. etc.)
1 c. heavy cream
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla or liqueur to flavor
Whipped cream

Place chocolate, egg and flavoring in blender or food processor and chop. Heat cream until small bubbles appear at edge. Do not boil. With machine running, pour in hot cream. Blend until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Pour into martini glasses, demitasse cups, dessert dishes or plastic 3 oz clear glasses; cover with plastic and chill. Serve with whipped cream on top and a sprig of mint.

Best dessert EVER!!

Put a 1" layer of oreo crumbs in a 9 x 13 pan. Cover it with the mints. And cover that with coconut. Cover the entire thing with sweetened condensed milk. Then bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes.

Let it cool, and then cut into squares...MMMMMM

I found them at my local Safeway Grocery Store. I was so excited to see them I grabbed several bags. Thanks to all for the wonderful ideas! I am baking this weekend and the family will be thrilled with all the new goodies.
