Anyhow, I got my first order for decorated sugar cookies, I have not responded as of yet, but can anyone give me an idea of the going rate. I have some cookies in my photos which will probably be similar to the ones this customer will order... I was thinking $2 per cookie is that too low or too much ![]()
Jovigirl - depending on how big they are and how long they will take you to decorate, 2-3$/cookie isn't too bad...
there's a bakery in Ottawa that sells cookies and cakes that are truly amazing... for her work, she charges 5$+/cookie for a minimum order of 15 cookies!
look on my site www.cakesondemand.com
go to the tool bar on top and click cookie bouquets we have our prices there and we are in Canada. If we lived in Vancouver we could charge more and were just getting started this month alone we have 45 doz to make for christmas orders. The local news paper ordered 17 doz for the Real Estate offices in town that can be huge for marketing purposes. Hope this helps.

Is that Cake Shop on Greenbank Rd? Her's are $15/dozen ..they taste very good and obviously the market will bear that price but the ones I bought from her had lavender in them but no decorations..I think you could up the price to $25 dozen if they are decorated.
