I have bought the diamond pattern impression mats for a wedding cake I am doing next weekend. I will be using Wilton's crusting buttercream on the cake. Do I just stick the mat on there or do I have to dust it with something. Thanks for advice in advance. I'll check back after work and dance class tonight.

If the cake is crusted very well, I typically do not have to do anything to the impression mat, but if it starts to stick, just dust it with a LITTLE cornstarch or powdered sugar.
