I finally made my first tiered cake. I just posted in my pics but I can't upload it on this forum. This was for my grandparents 60th anniversary. They liked it but we are our own worst critics. I wish I could have made it sooner and to me I thought I could have added something more but I was out of ideas. It was my first time working with fondant for the roses. Can I keep these roses for a later date?? I worked so hard on them I would hate to throw them out.

Your cake is so elegant looking. I bet your grandparents were very proud of you! I don't see why you cannot keep the roses, unless they are too messy from icing.

It looks very nice. Elegant and simple. I think adding more would have taken away from the elegance of it. Wonderful job!

very pretty! Is it just normal ribbon around the cakes?
