How fast do you need it to dry? Are you talking about fondant that's covered a cake or fondant flowers?
I've heard that dusting the fondant for a cake with powdered sugar or cornstarch will help it crust...
As far as for flowers, it needs to be VERY THIN to dry, but gum paste actually dries harder & faster than fondant.
HTH!
A dehumidifier helps, or a food dehydrator if you have either of these... Both of these work really well and fast.

You can try putting it in an OFF oven with just the light on.
Or placing a fan directly on it.
what brand/homemade fondant are you trying to dry quick?
Most of the time gumpaste or tyclose needs to be mixed with fondant to get it to dry quicker/harder.
Some brands of fondant will dry on their own to hold shapes but won't dry hard. Gumpaste will dry hard though. Also if it is MMF it almost never dries without something added to it.
I totally have a dehydrator and have NEVER thought of using it! Great idea!
OMG, you will love it! I always procrastinate making my gumpaste/fondant pieces and then I just think to myself "no big deal, I can always get out the dehydrator!"
well...i procrastinated and havent finshed my fondant people. I have to have them dry by 9pm tonight. they need to be able to stand up. I am using wilton store bought fondant. I just need them dry enough to not flop over. thanks
