I have a lady that requested that I make 10 dozen sugar cookies for the kids in our town to decorate after they have visited Santa.

She wants the sugar cookies undecorated and wants me to send tubs of icings of different colors for the kids to choose from.

What would be a good icing recipe for me to make that would be easy for the kids to use?

Thanks In Advance
Nicole

P.S. I plan to use th NFSC recipe

Although royal will produce a nicer cookie, buttercream will be easier to control for children. I would go ahead and fill pastry bags for piping in colors for Christmas. you might also provide some sample drawings for how to decorate the cookie in a simple pattern or design.

I agree with the BC as being best for kids. Royal is to hard for them to work with and they will end up making a big mess.

BC icing in bags is a great idea. I'd throw in colored sprinkles, too. As a kid, we just iced the cookies with white frosting and loaded them up with the colored sugars. They were some pretty garish cookies, but we loved them!
