My best friend and I are doing our second wedding cake together. We do it as wedding presents for our friends. Our friend is getting married on New Year's Eve and we're doing cupcakes for her. She still wants to do a cake "cutting" ceremony. I'm worried about all our drunk friends (this will be quite a party) helping themselves to the display beforehand. Have any of you cake divas with cupcake experience had this problem? How can we avoid it?

Thanks!

I would think that if you have the cupcake stand on a table decorated as if it were a regular cake table, it would be safe.

Good luck!!! And have a good time!!!

Do the cake ceremony as soon as the bride and groom get there. Then the drunk friends won't ruin any pictures.
