Wow!!! Hood a thunk it!
Ya'll have undeniable cool talents. I like so many of you have tried many projects only to find another one calling my name to try. My husband once told me he wished he could be cloned so that he could complete everything he needs to do. Me tooo! My latest interest are pottery, bonsai, gardening, baking, faux painting, computer addict, sewing crafts, trying to learn Spanish (not very good at it), Reading comedy mysteries (most have food in their names), and of course Shopping. ![]()

Wow! You guys are so talented--there are especially a lot of great seamstresses out there!
KimAZ, you're crafts are amazing!
Before cake decorating I was really into scrapbooking. I still enjoy it, but I haven't had much time for it lately! I also love drawing, oil painting, and watercolor, sewing, and crocheting!!! ![]()
I can't wait to see more of everyone else's talents!!
I don't do any of these often but I can sew, embroider, bead clothing and quilt. I can't do anything with yarn, they spent years trying to teach me when I was a kid and I can't draw.
My biggest talent is my ability to pack and unpack with speed. The last time we moved I had a 4 month old infant who I was nursing and a 4 year old, both had colds at the time, and the day after we moved I had all but one box unpacked. I learned from my mother who was a Navy brat who raised Army brats.
Wow! You all are so awesome. I would love to learn to quilt!!! I have a ton of hobbies and to little time to do them in. One of these days, when I'm an old lady in my rockin' chair. lol.
Everyone is talented! I now have some motivation to finish some Christmas gifts that have been sitting around for some time!
It would be great if we could get together and be able to teach one another how to quilt, paint, sew, ect.
That makes me think that it would be such a cool idea if we could have a CC Day of Sharing in our different areas. I know it isn't possible but it's a cool idea ![]()
So much talent! I'm a jack of most crafts, master of none. Before cakes my big thing was beads. I worked in a bead shop that fed my obsession, but also taught me more crafts. I really liked gourd art and pine needle baketry, but my all time favorite was bead making. To hear the woosh of the gas as the fire melted the glass and then to be able to shape that glass any way I wanted to......... so relaxing!!
I also enjoy needle work, knitting, crochet, sewing, candy making, and making candy wreaths for the kids.
Debbi
Wow!!!!
Everything is wonderful.
I have so many things that I do. I draw, paint, cross stich etc....but my passion is jewelry making! I will have to wait until I get home to download pics. I made my dtrs wedding jewelry for her and the whole wedding party and all participants in the service. So now I have beads, pans and cookie cutters all over my house. DH is ready to kill me....lol
I would love to try scrapbooking but would probably end up divorced so staying away from that.....lol
You all are soooo talented!!! All of these pictures are just wonderful!!
I think I would have to fall into the group of "jack of a lot and master of none!!"
Let's see, I crochet (mostly baby blankets), I took a Donna Dewberry painting class (that was a lot of fun!! but have only done a couple of things since then) I LOVE to do pottery but it costs a lot and the place is too far now, I Scrapbook ( and yes, it is just as bad as cake decorating!!), I am trying to learn to quilt (haven't finished anything yet), have done cross stitching and tried to learn to knit but don't have the patience for that right now. ![]()
I bake; weave; garden; research historical recipes; carve wood; make paper models; collect trains; decorate madly for Halloween; practice massage; bellydance and create the costumes for it; make jewelry; used to rughook and crochet...
When you've lived as long as I have, there's plenty of time to try it all!!! ![]()
debsuewoo, I had ordered some pine needles from this company, was all ready to try. I love how they look and I love baskets so I thought I would give it a try. Then I had two more children and never even touched it! I think I threw it all away!!
Can't believe I just said that! Or worse that I actually did it because I hardly EVER throw anything away!!
Maybe some day!
Cool thread! You folks are amazing with the different crafts you do!! I crochet, and can sew (but do not enjoy that)
What I do for my "hobby" is ride my ATV whenever I get the chance!! My hubby and I also run a message board for atv riding (quadcrew.com) Here is a pic of my quad that I ride now.![]()

I work with acrylic paint, polymer clay, make hand-made ribbon roses, sew, ethnic cooking, and recently took up Chinese watercolor painting.

I love to scrapbook and cook. I am one of the best cooks in my family and just here recently I decided to start baking cakes. I havent really done to much with it but once my school break comes then I am going to bake. I am going to school for business law and my husband goes for marketing we plan on opening up a bar and a bakery. So in a couple of years when I go to school for pastry then I will be ready to run my own business.
I do all kinds of crafts. I love to quilt and sew. I made an AWESOME Dale Sr quilt fo DH last year. If I can figure out how to post it I will. If I can make the time I want to make my DD and DS quilts for christmas. I also decorate canning jars to put my votive candles in. I use to crossstich but haven't in years because it hurts my hands to much. I will post the quilt later.
I dont know if I ought to own up to this one but.....I used to love knitting loopy bonnets for my babbies, I had 3 girls and a boy....only did them for the girls though LOL....youngest is now 28.. OMG,....I never took any pics of them .....but I've just found some on google just like the ones I used to make
....surely people are'nt still making them lol...but oh the memories, I used to love seeing my baby girls in those....They now cant BELIEVE I used to put them on them, they think they are AWFUL.... ![]()
Denise
I like to sew, do machine embroidery, and make jewelry! Tried knitting, but just don't have time! I am also quite handy with Photoshop...
OH Cryssi, I envy you on being handy with the photoshop, that thing SCARES me to death....dont know WHAT to do in there.....LOL
Denise
Denise4, the baby bonnet is sooo cute - is it crochet? Why doesn't anyone make them anymore - I would! I would love to try it if you still have the instructions. I just made a hat for my daughter and it is the only one she will actually keep on her head - all the storebought ones she hates, LOL... Here is a pic.
I love cooking and baking and have just got into cake decorating in the last couple of weeks. I am into scrapbooking, desktop publishing, reading, writing and shopping! There are many more things but these are the main things I like to do in my (limited) spare time.
What a very talented group of people! I love to do many things and always seem to be doing something. I make fused glass jewelry in my down time which isn't often with 3 young children. Other than that just getting into cakes.
Wow, you all are so talented!! My only other hobby is scrapbooking. Other than that, I wouldn't really call it a hobby necessarily, but I have found out in the last few years by renovating my old house and building my new house that I'm quite good at painting rooms and laying tile (flooring, walls, etc).
