I'm telling you that I have been doing cakes for a while now, but I have never heard of cake balls til I saw them on someone's site. They look like truffles. If their not , what's the difference?

If you do a search in the forums for "cake balls" you'll get all kinds of information...flavor combos, pricing issues, what they are, etc. thumbs_up.gif BTW, they are a lot like truffles.

Truffles normally have a ganache base (chocolate, cream, butter). Cake balls or cake Truffles are usually cake pieces or scraps mixed with icing, rolled into shapes.

There are a gazillion recipes and instructions if you search in the recipe forum.
