I would love to hear feedback before I go out and buy one. Love it, hate it? Does the cake stay steady on it? I have to pipe scrolls on the side of a cake for the first time and was considering using one.

Michael's has a 50% off coupon this week, (which if you don't have one, they let you sign for one if you ask when you checkout). So, is it worth it?

I have one of these and I love it! I use a small non-slip pad under my cakes just to make sure it doesn't slide, it's the only turn-table I use icon_biggrin.gif

I use a PME tilting turntable. It's a bit more expensive but it has a non slip top and is fabulous. The link is just to show you what I mean.

I actually love mine, use the tilt anytime I have to pipe the side of a cake. I only use the first notch tho, not the very extreme tilt because that feels dicey. Also, don't tilt the cake too quickly, try to hang onto it and ease it into the tilt, so you are less likely to send your cake flying down icon_eek.gif

Good to hear these things. What type of non-slip pad would you use for reinforcement?

The rubbermaid non-slip shelve lining is great! I get it in big rolls from the dollar store (knock off brand) and use it for everything from under the cake on the turntable to in the car while transporting!

I agree with everyone else here, I love mine! and if you don't want to go out and buy the nonstick shelf liner, those little rubber thingies you get to open jars with stuck-on lids work great, too!

I just bought one today and I was wondering if I would be sorry, thanks for the info. I feel better after reading the comments. The lady at Michaels told me I would not be sorry she just told me to make sure I locked it down. But I feel better getting advise from the other cc'ers.

Thank you so much for the info! Guess I have some shopping to do tomorrow.

Still would love to hear what anybody has to say about the subject.

I'm glad everyone else has had good experiences with theirs, but I did not like mine at all. I gave it a ride back to Michael's in a hurry. It felt cheap to me and it would not stay locked. I decided to save my money for something besides Wilton.
