I ordered two bake books from Amazon about two weeks ago and the initial ETA was 10-14 days - no big deal. I've ordered lots from them in the past and my stuff always arrived ASAP. Well, I just tracked my order and it's been sitting in the "notified shipper to pick package up" status for a week now! Good old USPS...and the new ETA is the very end of the month - that's four weeks for my books to arrive!
So, I thought I'd save some of you the grief of waiting forever for things to arrive and warn you that it is well worth the shipping upgrade to get your stuff in less than a month's time.
For now, I'm off to the library to check out the books I ordered - thankfully, they are checked in!
l also use Amazon free shipping all the time. Unless the book is out of stock then they always ship it fast. I have never had a problem. Call or e-mail as I am sure they would want to know. It must be lost somewhere. I have had books take a few weeks when not all of them are in stock, as they wait for a complete order before shipping.

I also use Amazon free shipping all the time. Last week, I ordered a pasta machine and a Scott Clark Wooley book on Monday (Memorial Day) and they arrived on Thursday. With the exception of one order in my 8 year history of being a very active Amazon.com customer, only 1 order placed with Super Saver Shipping actually took 2 weeks to arrive.
I think your experience is atypical. I'm bummin' for you, though!
That's what I thought - I've shopped with them many times before and my stuff almost always gets here within a week, 10 days at the very most. I haven't ordered in awhile so I thought maybe this had become the norm. I'm glad to hear that it's not! I'll give them a call tomorrow!
