I collect pedestal cake plates and had promised myself I wouldn't buy any more. But I saw this on eBAY and it just cried out to sit on my shelf. In case you can't tell from the photo it is Santa's boots as the pedestal, the glass dome is his belt, buckle, buttons and the top is a red pom pom. This is made by Patience Brewster for Dept. 56, you may have seen some of her other ornaments and collectibles called Krinkles.
Merry Christmas to me.
Oh, that's CUTE! I can totally understand how it was calling your name and BEGGING you to buy it! Shhhhh, don't tell...I have the SAME illness and hear those little voices calling me to but things too...hee-hee
thats so cute.
I see cake stands like that too & want to buy them but I am totally out of room ![]()
That's too cute I would have bought it myself and I don't collect them.
Thanks, you ladies are as bad as me.
And mocakes I have 22 now with this one. The bedroom in my apartment has built in shelves, now most logical people would use them for bedroom items, right? Not me, they are holding all of my cake plates. I actually do use these too, I try and do a cake with the same theme as each plate as cakes for my family. That way the plate comes back home with me.
If anyone seriously wants one here is another on ebay

Looks great and I can clearly see the cake stand was calling your name..."Shirley...Shirley..don't leave me here!!!"...so you saved him and providing a great new home to the poor lonely cake stand...All your others will keep him company!!
Merry Christmas ![]()
