Hi,
I use Duncan Hines Deluxe cake mixes (I think I'm the only one here that does) and I add 4 eggs, 1 cup water and 1 packet of Dream Whip. Make sure you mix it at medium for 5 minutes. Haven't had a complaint yet
This recipe comes from a lady who owns her own bakery.
I haven't tried it myself but I think that will make it almost too moist and "mushy" and I think I remember reading somewhere on CC that you shouldn't do it if pudding is already in the mix. You can always make different flavors by adding extracts or oils or even using flavored coffee creamer (liquid as a substitute for some of the water or powder)
I add an instant pudding to most cake mixes (including the ones that say there's pudding in the mix), also an extra egg. The cake is very fragil feeling when turned out to cool, but has its act together by the time you're ready to work with it. Let's see what others have to say about it. I'm interested too.
I have added a pudding mix to a cake with puddign already in the mix. I also added one extra egg. I read about this on CC.
I have tried this twice and really enjoyed it. It seemed to hold togther just fine and wasn't too mushy. Just my opinion though...
I just made a lemon cake this weekend. I added a box of lemon pudding and an extra egg and it came out moist and delish! I also put a clean towel on and pushed it down to level. Came out perfect. I am going to try the dream whip tho that sounds yummy! ![]()
shelie,
If you buy DH mixes, you can add pudding mix of your flavor choice. But I wouldn't recommend adding another box of pudding to a mix that comes that way.

To change the flavor of a cake mix that already has pudding; you could try adding the flavored creamers (either powdered or liquid).
