I have aways wanted to know :
Whats the best chocolate to use??
When do you mix in your candy colors? when it is melted or is afterwards O.K.
Does the modeling chocolate stick to it self .If not what do you stick it together with.
Can you stick it to regular chocolate? If you can what do you stick it to gether with??
How long does it last if you make something out of it.
Thanks I hope someone can help me with this. ![]()
Here are my answers to your questions. Others may have different ideas.
You can use any chocolate to make 'clay', but the more expensive chocolates would probably be a waste of money. Any good chocolate will work fine. I use high quality chocolate chips most of the time.
Color should be added while it is melted. I have kneaded two parts of different colored clay together.
If the clay has been kneaded so it is faily soft, it will stick to itself. If you need 'glue' use a bit of melted chocolate. I once used corn syrup in a pinch, and it worked fine.
Items made from modeling chocolate or clay will last a long time. Think of a Tootsie Roll. It will get harder over time, but still edible.
