Hi good folks!
Does anyone have some hints & tips to serving wedding cakes? I was asked to service at an upcoming wedding and up to this point, my responsibility always ended after the cake was brought and set up at the appointed spot LOL. Any advice is cheerfully requested. Thanks in advance!
Check out Indydebi's method for cutting and serving cake.
Her website is www.cateritsimple.com
Thanks Cathy! Sure will. Anyone else feel free to chime in too
Hi i had to serve one of my cakes, and i wore a plastic glove that held the knife, and since my cake was oval i cut it longwise then went across it did pretty good, Earlenes web site i think has directions too,
I agree with cakesbycathy, use indydebi's method on her website. It's so much easier then any other method I have seen.
I just went on Debi's site and looked at her cake cutting guide, and all I can say is (with a SMACK of the forehead) DUH! That looks so easy and simple! Why oh why didn't anyone come up with that before now??? (Sigh) I love Debi.
Thanks for starting this thread. Learning that will save us ALL time & mess!
Yeah that totally looks like a good plan. Ill bring gloves with me. Does anyone else have anything to add that would be helpful?
Thanks!
