Yeah that is pretty gruesome but I saw a cute divorce cake...probably on here that showed the wedding cake cut in half with the man on one side and the woman on the other...

I'm sorry but I have to agree. I think this was made as a joke to bring some humor to a traditionally unhappy situation. I have a pretty good sense of humor and that my friends is hillarious! icon_lol.gif

She is such a tacky woman. The cake is well done but she disgusts me.

I think this cake was taken over board. Yes it's humorous BUT he shouldn't be laying there dead with blood everywhere, maybe a little beat up or standing with his clothes all over the lawn but not dead. This could possibly prove to be very bad for her if the man is ever murdered icon_sad.gif.

I got divorced last year, from my fiance lol.... yes we are remarrying next year or soon after. It was hard making the decision but it was needed as an awakening I guess. I would never think of doing something like this for myself my friends my family or anyone for that matter. I've seen people riding around with their cars decorated like "Just Married" instead it's "Just divorced" or "The Witch is Gone!" and so on but never seen something like this.

You would think the baker would have opted not to do this risking bad publicity, maybe she charged her an arm and leg (no pun intended icon_sad.gif) just incase such happens to her reputation....

I dunno just not my style leave him on the lawn with his boxers in a tree divide the cake into two parts as previouslys stated but murder is not a good thing....

I am sorry, but my opinion is this is tacky, cruel and horrible. Why would you want a cake like this? I don't care how bad a marriage is, this is wrong.

Reece Witherspoon and her man to are now getting a divorce and who can forget about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston icon_surprised.gif

I really don't know what to think about this cake I kind of like it and yet kind of think it's tacky too. Aside from the subject the workmanship I think was done good!

Your husband getting the cake on here cracks me up too! Something my hubby would do, if he could figure it out.

The cake is well done, not a choice I would make, but to each his/her own.

OK, I agree that the cake is well done, but I could have done without the blood too. I think it's cute that people would think to celebrate a divorce like this though. My parents are divorced and my mom kept her sense of humor thru things even though my dad was a huge jerk. I could see doing something fun to celebrate the final papers being signed or something--all the friends getting together to show support or something would be a nice thought. Maybe a bride punching the groom instead? I like the wedding cake cut in half idea too.

I think that cake is an absolute riot. I have a girlfriend that would have loved a cake like that when her divorce was finalized. Obviously she didn't want any harm to come to her ex but it's a funny, girls only kind of cake, not to be taken too seriously. Hilarious!

If I were a great decorator and were asked to do it, I would. I'd put it in my portfolio too!! icon_biggrin.gif

Although I dont think divorce is "okay" - I know there is a place for it although I think people sometimes get married with it in their minds that "oh well if it doesnt work out we can always just get a divorse" when actually it should be thought about more BEFORE the wedding...

Anyways - I dont mind the cake with the groom falling off the cake - or the blood. I think its funny. Its bringing humor to a bad situation. I would appreciate a cake like that if it were made for me - regarless if you still love him or not, you'd still be pissed!

If he and I were getting ready to get married and he called off the wedding - AND broke up with me, I definately think Id have to shove him off the top of the cake icon_smile.gif

I also like the divided heart cake - the his and was his one. That is also cute - and appropriate for somebody else. I dont think that one is nearly as funny as the the other one, but again, it depends on the person.

As long as good judgement is made, I think making cakes liek that is A-OK. I believe that if your making it for a customer when guidelines are exactly specified, its much better to go conservative. But when its a close friend and you know them - go for it man! Sucks to be him - he doesnt even get cake! icon_smile.gif

I just gotta get my two cents in. I was divorced about 8 years ago and as bad and abusive as the marriage was, I never wished him dead. I have one son and it was a blow I would not wish on anyone when my X, my sons father died suddenly two years ago. No matter how bad the marriage or the divorce, it is not better when he is dead. Sorry for the downer
