Is there any such thing??? I am in a huge hurry thanks to last min request from sons teacher for two dozen apple cookies by tomorrow. Is there any icing i can use that would dry in enough time to be able to but in plastic bag by at least tomorrow morning. Thanks so much for any help.

Fondant works great. Just use your cookie cutter to cut out the fondant, cover those with plastic wrap, cut out and bake your cookies and while they're still hot from the oven, lay the fondant cutouts on the cookies. The fondant wil laminate itself onto the cookie. As soon as it cools, its ready to package. Tastes great too!
Set up a little assembly line for yourself, and once to start baking, it goes really fast.
I agree with leily! I made antonia74's RI recently for the first time and was very surprised how fast it set up! (in my photos, the white rectangle cookies: i flooded with the white first, and just a by the time i was done i was able to pipe the squiggly lines on. this was in the evening after work and by bedtime the were nearly hard. In the morning, perfectly set!
