Hi! Can someone explain to me how to make the bikini cake? I know it's a quarter sheet and you cut out the v-neck, a curve for the hips and a V to separate the legs and use it for the ....ummm.....bikini top...hehehe. Is there a certain way to place the pieces you cut out to form the bikini top or is it hit or miss???

Thanks~!!!

Found on Wilton site:

I use a 9x13 sheet cake. I make a pattern 9x13 and cut out curves in sides for waist. Lay on cake and cut out curves and remove. Ice cake with a flesh-tone icing use Hostess snack cakes for the bikini top. Cover them with flesh icing, then do bikini with star tip and whatever color you wish. Then I draw on the bikini bottom waist band, then on each lower corner I draw a concave curve which represents the legs of the bikini bottom. Fill this area in with star tip to match the bikini top. Sometimes I put on a necklace. I haven't figured out the male bikini cake yet. Hope this helps. It's hard to describe in writing. My scanner isn't working, or I'd send you a picture.

You could also use two heart shaped pans and that would eliminate having to cut so much off. I'm pretty lazy so I liked to find as many shortcuts as possilble icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif ! Hope it works out!

I do basically the same thing with mine too. But I make cupcakes for the top and don't forget the chocolate chip belly button!
