Need Help Fast!! How To Extend Height Of Pan?

Hi, Im in the process of making a cheesecake and the pan is too full, so i took it out and i know i read somewhere that you could extend the height of the pan, but not sure if i could do it with jus wax paper, i think i had read parchment.. please help.

I've always used parchment paper as it holds up well to exposure to heat. I think wax paper will just break down.

I've used aluminum foil successfully.
