She's beautiful! I hope someday I can create something as remarkable as that in a few spare minutes. Great job!
EXCELLENT JOB!!!! UR LIL ANGEL IS SO ADORABLE!!!
thanks for all the compliments guys! she wasn't all that hard to make... once I got my head around how to do it... I'll try to explain as best I can...
1. take a chunk of white paste and roll it into a ball and then make a cone shape (this becomes the body/dress). gently hold the cone upside down - like an icecream cone and with a balling tool rub around the edges to create a thin edge for the dress. Turn right way up and make a dip in the to for where the head is to sit.
2. take a chunck of flesh/ivory coloured paste and roll it into a ball; scewer with spaghetti apply a little glue and stick onto body.
3. take a small ball of white and make a sausage... cut in half diagonally to make the arms. glue into place on the body. poke a hole in the ends and poke in a little ivory/beige paste for the hands.
4. roll out white paste and cut wing shapes - I scored these with a toothpick to make feather impressions.
5. Dust the whole lot with white luster dust (except head)
6. Make hair (any colour) by using a clay extruder or roll paste really really thin and chopping up and glueing into place - this was hit and miss for me - never done hair before so I had to wing it.
7. the halo is rolled (sausage like) white paste glued into the shape of a circle and glued.. once dried paint with glue all over and roll in disco silver - attach to head with a small piece of florist wire.
8. draw on face...
and there you have it... one little angel.
I made the book out of a small bit of red past and stuck it in place with a bit of wire and glue.
Hope this makes sense - can explain further if anyone needs it.
Ciao for now

I made the wings first and the halo, they dried out as I made the rest of the body... the arms wont droop as they are glued to the body and the hands a pretty light and none-movable. by the time I finished the body, head and arms the wings were pretty dry.
I ended up making another 2 last night (needed 3 for my cake)... makes the first one look a bit dodgy so will probably re-do her - the face/head part anyways... Even hubby likes them... and he usually doesnt have much to say about my "art"... ![]()
