What does adding GumTex to MMF do? I thought it would make the fondant dry harder and faster (like gumpaste) but as I am looking at the can it says to add it to gumpaste to make it more pliable and easy to work with. So I dont know what it would do to add it to fondant. I have added some of the premade gumpaste to MMF before and it worked pretty well, but the wilton gumpaste seemed kind of lumpy. So I thought I would just try to add some powdered stuff and it would be easier. Is it Tylose that is supposed to be added? Sorry I am confused..and rambling.

I personally didnt have very good luck when I added gumtex to my MMF it made it crack and really hard to work with It didnt make it dry any harder just made it dry out and crack. BUT this was the first time I ever used gumtex and I may have added too much also I was having a VERY bad cake day and everything that could go wrong did so it might have just been me icon_lol.gif LOL Next time I'm goning to try the 50/50 gumpaste/MMF mixture to see if that will work better.
