Can you guys give me some tips for coloring MMF. I made it earlier today and I'm trying to make it red for a Lightning McQueen cake. I have been have some arthritis in my hands (I'm not even 40) and I'm having a really hard time. Any tips or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
ShirleyW offers some helpful advice about coloring it in your mixing bowl here (scroll down to her post) http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-444283.html.
I haven't tried it yet but I have the same problem (arthritis in my young hands) so it's good to know there is another way. I have also found that using a rolling pin or fondant roller to help with the kneading process takes some of the pressure off of my hands.
Good luck, it makes my hands hurt just thinking about you
.
Thank you guys so much. That is really helpful. I really, really appreciate it.
