I'm getting ready to do my friends birthday cake and she wants it in flip flops. Yay, right? Maybe not, she doesn't want fondant on her cake. I'm ok with that, I've done a few cakes without fondant before, but here's the kicker; she wants the cake to look like it has fondant, but not put any on it.
That was a total headdesk moment. Ok. I'm good with cakes, I've had troubles in the past, but who hasn't right? Ugh. How in the heck am I to do this. My mom mentioned putting my icing spatula in water and then smoothing it over the icing. I don't know.
How do I do this? Her party is on Thursday and I'm stuck !!!
