Hi, anyone have any ideas on how I can make a cake look metallic with gold or silver colors?

Were you planning on using fondant or buttercream icing? If you use fondant, you can use luster dust on it.

You can use white-or light grey or golden yellow, depending on the depth of color you want. I'd get some fondant-I prefer Satin Ice or Pettinice, or MMF, color small pieces, roll them out and brush on the Luster Dust using a soft brush. You can also paint it on using clear vanilla, almond flavoring, or vodka-(which works best for me).
I'm all about doing a "trial run"! icon_wink.gif

Good luck, and welcome to CC!

Hummm, unless there's a metallic paint for airbrushing I don't know how to get BC metallic...I don't airbrush, so maybe somebody else will have a better answer. icon_sad.gif
