Hello everybody,
I'm making the wilton 3d ball cake for the first time. My question is what cake flavor would be best and sturdy for this type of cake?
I plan on doing strawberry cream filling for the cake.

Thanks so much.

I used a yellow mix and omitted 1 TBSP (Tablespoon) of the oil. (You could probably use a chocolate mix and do the same thing) It was a firm cake, but it was still nice and moist. A tip that worked AWESOME for me, put a flower nail in each half, I didn't have any humps at all on the cakes! Good luck, I hope you enjoy it. I love using this pan!

I have made 3 cakes in the last 6 months with it and have just used a regular mix and it baked just right. Hope this helps.
