Hi, I´m new to CC and I am from Colombia South America.
I was wondering if someone can help me because I´m having a lot of trouble transfering the designs to my cakes, I use a whipped topping like bettercream to make all the decorations, but I can´t ice the cake and then transfer the pattern with a toothpick, because all the bettercream will stick to the parchment paper.
Does anyone have any Idea??
I am thinking on buying a projector, but I don´t kow what brands or models are good, specially because I don´t wan´t to spend a lot of money.
Can someone help me?????

Thanks

Welcome Sweetparty! "Kopykake' projectors are the only ones I know of and they are all expensive. That's how you spell it; you can do a search ... maybe one is currently selling on ebay used for a price you are comfortable spending.

Welcome SweetParty!! I would think if you don't want to change your icing to a crusting type maybe use a frozen buttercream transfer. There is a tutorial on this site that is great!

Thanks everyone, I would also love to try a crust buttercream, but I don´t have a good recipe. I have the one from the Wilton yearbooks, but it tastes awfull.
If any of you have a good recipe I would really appreciate it.
Thanks again for your warm welcome.

Hey Crayola makes a childs projector Im not sure of the name of it.. But we were just talking about it on another thread its like trace and draw... Im sure its much cheaper that the one from KopyKat and you can project the images anywhere... at least that is what they were saying I have yet to try it..

If that is the one my niece has, it has a little wheel of images ... like in those toys you hold up to your eyes and click the lever to see the next image. So, you'd be limited to only what there is such thing as on a wheel.
