I wanted to buy a clay gun and was wondering which one some of you might have and where did you get it from, and does it works well?

i got mine from clay king, based on other CCer's recommendations. here's the link:
http://www.clay-king.com/extruderlist.htm

i have the medium sized one for $19.20. i love it! it works great and holds TONS of fondant. i can make huge rope borders with it, and not worry about stopping and starting. it has a squeeze handle instead of hte push kind, so its easier on the hands. much better deal than the sugarcraft gun, which is kinda pricey and small.

This is the one I have and I can not complain. It came with 20 disks, its easy to extrude b/c there is no squeezing involved-it works on a screw like a vice. It holds a fair amount and I could use my 40% off coupon to purchase it.

I just got the same one at Michael's, I used my 40% off coupon. I haven't used it yet but am looking forward to having some fun with it. I bought it because it was recommended in another thread here at CC icon_wink.gif

I like beccakelly's idea the best, boy I bet that clay gun saves a lot of time since you can fill it up. Not to mention the wear and tear on your hands. icon_wink.gif It's a lot better that the sugarcraft gun that I spent a fortune on. I am going to get one myself. Thanks for the info. icon_biggrin.gif

Yep! And the one at Michaels comes in a nice little plastic case that I'm using to store my other "clay" tools.

How long did you wait for your order from them? I just cancelled my order today because I've been waiting over a month for them to ship. I was looking forward to the size you mentioned because I wanted to be able to make longer ropes, etc.

I just bought this same one, from Hobby Lobby. I didn't get the chance to use it, sadly, and after taking it out of the package I kind of have a really stupid question.. um.. the little black ring that came with it, does that go under the disk, on the tube side, or before you put the disk in, on the lid side.. I'm not sure how to explain what I mean.. hehe

Thanks in advance,

Holly

The big gold one is I think the one Duff uses, he had one like that in the episode he did the yak or hairy cow or whatever that thing was (the ep when he wore the kilt icon_surprised.gif )

Yeah, I had the same question. I believe it is an extra ring for the plunger.
