OK Ladies, icon_razz.gif

Which one do you have/ or want? I've been looking, but I can't decide which one! It's very confusing and over whelming icon_eek.gif !!

I know this thread has gone threw before, but I couldn't find it. So any new advice would be great icon_biggrin.gif !!

I just bought a 5 qt. KA on e-bay. It has 450 watts of power which is almost twice as many watts as the one I have now. The one I have now is a KA classic 4.5 qt. It works great, but I wanted the stronger one now that I am doing more cakes and cookies. Some people say they want a 6 qt. but I think the 5 qt. is plenty for me. I think the best one is the KA Professional 600 series 6 qt (which is a little different fromt he KA Pro 6 qt.).

I started out with the smaller KA stand mixer, but as my family grew so did my need for the larger one. So I now have both. I put the smaller one away for when one of my kids needs one (praying one of them picks up the cooking skill!). I use the larger one all the time no matter what size the project. I also have a KA hand mixer which I love too.
If you can afford it, go for the big one. You won't regret it.
I think MY problem would be the color choice!

I have a heavy duty 325 Watts & I love it...It was my Grandmother's and left to me. I also have a 250 Watts Classic that my Grandmother actually got me for a wedding gift 6 years ago and I still use it as well....Just keep them both on the counter side by side! Comes in handy when I am making more than one cake at a time!!

bigger is definitely better! My husband forced me to get the KA 600 professional. I kept thinking I wouldn't need something that big. Oh my! I couldn't function with anything smaller!!

I bought my Kitchenaid Mixer, refurbished, from Amazon.com and am very happy with it. The warrante sounds good also. Actually, my husband insisted that I get it because my Kitchenaid, which is 14 years old is starting to make funny sounds. The inside motor has plastic parts instead of metal like the professional model has, so he bought me one. It was a great deal comparing what a new one cost.
