I must be losing my mind, but I can't seem to find square cake boards. Rectangle and round, yes, all over the place. Can anyone help me with where I can find 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14" square cake boards? icon_redface.gif

I cut my own squares from foamcore board, which I buy from Dollar Tree, $1 for a 20x30 sheet.

I just went to Home depot and they have them, already cut into squares or rectangles and they make cuts for you there for free. I bought a bigger piece and got all kinds of different size squares for like 6 bucks!

Then I just wrap them with contact paper or foil.

icon_smile.gif you can use foamcore boards 1/2 inch thick. you will have two cut them to your size's needed. any craft store should carry them.
I am doing a wedding cake and I had the same problem
good luck

How creative everyone is. I hate messing with boards! Sounds strange I know! I just figured if they made square pans, they made square boards already cut. Great Ideas! I'll be heading out tomorrow! Thanks a bunch.

I wish they were readily available in squares too. I just end up cutting my round boards into the squares but it's a bummer to have to waste all the cut off pieces.

i've never even heard of anyone making square cake boards before...never even thought of it really. i guess that makes sense...if they make the square pans, they should make the boards to go with it. icon_confused.gif

Try decopac.com I can't remember if they have other sizes but I always get 10" cake boards from there. They're the ones that fit in my 10" cake boxes. I haven't had to make any wedding cakes with squares yet so haven't thought about getting any other sizes. Yeah, try decopac.com icon_smile.gif
