to a website that had a cake with beads around it. The cake was a single layer cake and around the base it was encircled with some sort of gold wire that had coloured beads attached to it. On top of the cake were two circles of the wire and beads and the beads were sticking up in the air. Does anyone remember this link and could you tell me where it is. I printed a picture of the cake but SOMEONE IN THIS HOUSEHOLD OF MINE THREW IT AWAY!!!!!!!!! When I find out who it is there will be hell to pay.
The cake was not made by a CC member.
Hope there is someone out there who remembers it.

OMG, I feel for you.

I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that cake.

My only suggestion would be to check your internet history file, and try to find the web page that way.

I don't have a picture to help you but I did go to an ICES meeting in So Bend In a few weeks ago and they had a lady who makes jewelry using the beads and crystals. Anywho...she put some crystals in fall colors on wire and shaped them into leaf designs and placed them on a fall cake. She also had taken some crystal necklaces and placed them draped on the cake in which the bride could take it an wear it later.
This is not the website but here is one that has cake jewelry.

Thanks for that. Took JanH advice and scrolled through the history and found it. OMG I scared myself when I saw the history and 99% was the CC site. I think I will have to try to disable this function on the computer so hubby cannot see how much time I spend on CC.
Anyway here is the site for anyone interested :

I went on the website and emailed her to ask how to get instructions. She does workshops and demonstrations but she is in Europe. icon_sad.gif

That is a fantastic cake, isn't it. Thank you for sharing the link. How cool to be able to use the necklace after the cake is cut.

I don't think there are instructions. My friend's mother makes jewellery and I gave her a copy of pic and told her I wanted green and red beads for Christmas and to see if she could make it.
Hopefully she can.
