Just thought I would share what I have been doing. If I find something on CC that I want to keep, I have been printing it and putting them in a 3 ring binder. It has really come in handy. I have recipes, ideas, techniques I want to try ect... I always print in black and white to say on ink.
Just thought I'd share

I don't know what i'd do without my 3 ring binder - I keep all my favorite recipes and ideas and sketches in - a lot of it is from CC too icon_smile.gif

I have done the same. Wilton course books will get dog earred if you don't put them in plastic sleeves in a binder I am always looking through them.

I am also saving things that I like from CC

me too... icon_smile.gif

I have recipes, photos, serving guides, and every order I ever took, including prices and flavors, for reference. I have had people say, oh, just give me the same thing as last time....I never have to guess....also, I never have to guess what I charged them.

Next to each order, I keep the original sketch of the cake and then a photo of the actual one. It's awesome to show people how they come to life!

I've done the same thing. Now, I've divided them up into 3 folders so finding a recipe, a tutorial or a photo is easier. They're like eye candy.

How do ya'll find the time to put things into a binder? maybe I need someone to manage my time. I get up between 5:30am & 6:00am. I don't go to bed until around midnight. I hit the floor running, doing laundry & cooking breakfast while getting my three girls up for school. i also keep two extra kids during the day. I go to school also. I have homework to do while I help my girls with their homework. My Dh helps me clean the house & cook dinner. He helps me run bath water & listening for our two youngest girls while they bathe. I put them to bed. Spoend time doing more homework. Also, anythign that I need to do for our girls program at church, since I'm the coordinator for that.
I would love to make a binder for my stuff. I have to start with the huge box of pictures I have in my front closet.

Mine isn't fancy just a 3 hole punch and put into a 3 ring binder under the proper tab title.

Do you guys print alot of pictures? Does'nt that get expensive?

I would really love to print all the pictures that I have saved from all over the web, but figured it would take alot of ink.

Do you all just use regular printer paper or picture paper?

Thanks

I started that 3 ring binder when I took my first wilton class at the suggestion of my instructor. I took the books apart and put them in the sleeves. Now I have three of the binders with recipes and pictures and how to's. I don't get too fancy with the tabs. I just use the small post it notes and make my indexes. Yes great minds do think alike. icon_smile.gif
