make mmf as usual, then add in 1 TBS of dutch processed hersheys cocoa powder and 1 ounce good quality melted chocolate (i used Ghiradelli double melting chocolate) and mix it in with the marshmallows before you incorporate the powdered sugar. If you want to go black, add the color to marshmallows before sugar.

I am soooo jealous! I wish I could dedicate even that much space to my craft but there really isn't enough room. I aspire to your level of organization!

Also, I absolutely love the irony of storing decorating supplies in the craftsman. I showed it to my fiance and he had a fit. I absolutely loved it. He wants to send it as an email joke to his friends entitled "When the Mrs. has gone too far"

You did a GREAT job. Before I read this my DH and I were "discussing" the fact that he has hijacked our spare room (we, too, live in a 1100 sq ft cottage) for his stuff and my cake stuff is relegated to one shelf in what should be a linen closet but gets used for general storage. He was so impressed with the toolbox idea he might make room for one somewhere in the office.

Great idea using the craftsman toolbox. Those things have great tiny drawers, perfect for tiny cake decroating things!

Right now all of my stuff is in a cardboard box in my dining room!

I wonder if Sears has seen your drawers. lol They should set up pictures of how you use it and more decorators would buy the tool drawers too.

Oh BOY! Hubby has the biggest tool chest I've ever seen. When he got it we were trying to get him a new truck and I teased him for the longest telling him that tool chest was almost as big as a truck, now all he had to do was put a stirring wheel on it and he can drive it back and forth to work. Hum, now ya'll got my mind wandering thinking how I can get one just like his....LOL.

I have all my things sorted out and put in those smaller clear totes and I've marked on the front of the tote what was in there. Inside there's a gallon size ziplock with say for instance "Trees", "Flags", "Picks", "Animals", Sports", etc... Then I have totes just for wedding stuff, birthday stuff, baby shower stuff, cookie cutters, Fondant Molds, Fondant Accessories, Dowels, Pillars, Cake Pressing Accessories, Bows, Etc.... I then have two of those drawer organizers that I keep my paste colors, luster dusts, jimmies, couplers, etc. For my tips, I use those small bead boxes. I have one for each set of tips, for instance one says Writing tips, then I have each little box inside labeled say for tip #3, all 3's go in that section and so forth. Then I have a box that is all open star tips, etc.

I keep all my stands in the boxes they came in for two reasons. 1. They store better. 2. They keep from getting scratched and banged up.

Since we all can't have our dream "Tool Chest" hope this could be of help to someone.

My husband will be glad to know I'm not the only one! I love organization because I hate wasting time on things that are so petty, like LOST items. So I have done a lot like you and labled and stacked and you name it....Everything has a place and everything should be in its place.

icon_cry.gif This makes me feel like i have too much stuff.... I have an entire bookcase of cake things, from cookbooks to wilton to mailbox news, ICES, etc.... It's just for cake and baking. All the other cookbooks moved to the basement. I'm trying to get my stuff together now... i've been inspired by this board to get it all in order.... I had stuff EVERYWHERE in my house, and little by little, i'm making it work. (5 totes of cake pans and there's still more... bigger totes, or to the ceiling?? LOL.... Yes, I confess, I am a pack rat of cake things. Is there a support group?

Can I just say "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy"? Wow, that is amazing! I thought I was good on organizing, but now I've got some work to do. Does this mean I have to buy 2 Craftsman tool chests, one for me and one for the dh? That will be expensive. We will have to get together for coffee someday soon.
