Not Really A Cake Disaster, But Still...

I live in Northern Illinois where we had (or should I say have) major flooding after a week of rain and a terrible storm on Thursday.
I was doing a wedding cake for our HR Manager, a very wedding, but still a wedding cake. I was decorating Thursday when the second storm came through and I thougt I was going to have to do it by candle light, but all went very well.
Friday, she calls me to tell me they can't have the wedding at the planned place because the river was running through it! (The wedding and reception was in the same room). She called later, she found another place that could handle it, so all was well. As I was driving to deliver the cake, she calls again. She can't get married there, it is in another county (by about 10 feet)! She was a mess. She ended up getting married in her living room, remarried and had her reception at the new place. Personally, I would have considered it a sign!!!
With all of the horror stories of bridizillas, she was just as nice as could be after all of this, maybe a little harried, but that was to be expected!
Here is how the cake turned out.
Gorgeous Cake!!
I am glad she was finally able to get married despite the circumstances!
