I'm still trying to figure out a way to get down there, around the bakery schedule, so I'm thinking sunday would be my one day. 
I'm so sad. You all will be great though!!! If I make it, it'll be for the awards on sunday.

I also feel outclassed at this event! Which is why I am not entering a cake (this year) only a sugar art piece (probably still way outclassed, but it's for fun!)
Anyway, I was wondering from people who have been to this before... I decided to go ahead and enter because I saw that the give away great door prizes just for entering and I' wondering what kind of door prizes they are (greedy,greedy) because if they are kitchen aid mixers of airbrush equipment or evn tip sets that would be sooo great!
I'm still using a hand mixer and I have one of the strongest arms in cake decorating, lol!
The first year I went I won $100 dollars. I also got a ton of prizes because I entered so many cakes. Last year the same people kep winning prize after prize. They had classes in other states, Food products, cash prizes. You also get stuff regardless with each entry. They will post a board with your name on it on Sunday. Write down the numbers and go claim the product they have picked. I did not get much stuff that was usefull last year. The first year I received tons of cool stuff! One thing that I still use is a 12 piece petal dust set worth $70.00!
