I was wondering if people that make gingerbread houses use their own pattern ( templates), cookie cutters or molds. I saw this mold and was wondering if it is worth buying or is it more of a pain? Here is the site http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&item=200040722191&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
Any input?

It looks like the mold is very small, and you will have to bake the tray full twice to get the complete house. Plus the hassle of storing the breakable molds. However, they are pretty.

I have cardboard templates which work fine, and a set of aluminum cutters that work great.

Templates allow you the flexibility to make any size house you need.

I make my own, you never know what size you'll need, just easier to make your own templetes. They are not hard to do.

Thanks guys. I never thought about baking it twice, storage etc. Makes sense about the flexability of making your own. icon_biggrin.gif
