Sounds like some friends of mine. Planned to get married brides family spents thousands on wedding for it to be canceled by the groom 3 weeks before wedding. could not get the refunds on the deposits were out a lot of money. Well 2 months later they are back together again. 4 months later new wedding date is set. Brides parents not happy spend $60,000 on wedding for bride to cheat on DH 3 months into marrage and leaves him.

I'm sorry.. go out and get drunk and even go to a strip club I have NO problem with.. bring the strip club home with you and you better wear a chastity belt or I'll have your balls mounted on my wall. icon_mad.gif That ain't right..

Wow! What a story! I'm glad she found out before the wedding!

I made the food for DH's bachelor party. All my friends told me I was nuts. But hey, I trust the guy! I considered the bachelor party to be a rite of passage. And we're still married 15 years later. Doesn't matter where you get your appetite, as long as you eat at home icon_wink.gif I picked up DH & 13 of his closest, drunkest friends just as three police cruisers were pulling into the last seedy establishment on their bar crawl... There was no point being mad at him over it - he was hurtin' plenty for the next few days!

Now, my cousin-in-law was so mad that her fiance was having bachelor party that she & her friends crashed it!

Yes, this bride is lucky to be rid of him. The fact that he still thought the wedding was on is just priceless! I mean how stupid is he? I guess that is a rhetorical question. icon_lol.gif

I LOVE the poop cakes btw!

And your friends sound like my friends! If something like this ever happened to one of us three, oh man... icon_evil.giftapedshut.gificon_mad.gificon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

People can be so incredibly stupid! This guy for doing what he did and expecting it all to be okay and THEN the slumber party mom thinking she might just come by and help you out in the kitchen to cut the cost of her dang cake! Geez!! Okay, call me a snob that's fine, but I don't even want to associate with someone who would take out some teeth to con Goodwill down in their prices! Even forget the garage/yard sale part!! Oh I can't stand this!!! LOL LOL LOL

On the serious side I'm darn proud of this bride I don't even know for dumping this guy. I'm afraid he'd be bad news down the road. Good for her and hope the party is a blast!!!

She's made great progress and she has it tracked down to VERY good description of the gal, a name and strip club she works at.

I can't see that it's this girl's fault what happened. The guy was the *&^#$Q% here, she was just doing whatever she does for money. Not fair to go after HER for what HE did wrong.

What a sorry mess. Have recently watched 'Sideways' on DVD and was reminded of that...

Well my computer is slow & I'm behind the times...I'm with the Ex-Bride ALL THE WAY.

Can't imaging standing before God, the Minister, Friends, Family in such a solemn, happy occasion saying "I DO" to a man who was out all night with a paid whore skank.

That's just not right. What in the world would they tell their kids?

And GOOD FOR THE FRIEND who ratted out all the husbands/SO/BF!! I think those gals need to know exactly what their own studs were up to that night!!

But leave the hooker alone, she was just doing her job. It's not her fault the groom has zero self restraint. She probally entertained more than a few guys that evening and does not even remember what this Doug person looks like icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif
Your friend is far to classy a lady to go around stalking people.

Are there any poop cakes left? Can she leave one for the ex-groom on the front steps of the church?

And what's up with ex-MOG and the check that had a stop payment? Sounds like a grand gesture that they were hoping the bride's family would decline.

oh god i remember the panic i was in the day of my husband's bachelor party. us girls had just gone out to dinner a couple nights prior so on the day of his bachelor party i asked a few over to keep me occupied (not that anything would happen but i think it is something most brides fear could potentially happen) well they came over and soon enough there is a stripper at my door. yes they decided that i need a "real" bachelorette party and in my own home to make it even better. he was quite the piece of work too. my mom was there videotaping the whole thing and laughing up a storm as the guy made me take a shot from the front of his gstring. he picked up a few of my friends and was carrying them around and dryhumping them. well my husband gets home after all this drunk as drunk could be and passes out and the next morning he tell me that all he got was a lapdance. i was content to hear it was all innocent enough bachelor party stuff and then my mom comes over that night to show me the pics from the bachelorette party. my husband's eyes bugged out of his head that some dude was damn near naked prancing around our living room and then he saw the pics and saw that or piece of work stripper took a bunch of pics of his private area. so long story made longer, i was the one that was worried about him and he ended up the one that got upset. go figure. all's well 6 years later but he still makes fun of it on occaision (especially because i have an album of all the party pics)

She's not going to poke her eyes out or be arrested for assult.. I think she wants to:

a) see what she looks like

b) tell her that prostitution is illegal & if she finds out there was any sex involved she will see the police are notified so they can investigate. (she won't call the cops but it sounds good, lol)

c) thank her for doing our friend a favor even though it was done over dirty deeds done dirt cheap.

d) all of the above (my pick)

I do agree the hired girl is somewhat an innocent victim but if she was a dancer she would have done only that. The more the story comes out the more it's obvius she wasn't just a dancer.

Personally... I wish him well. He needs all the luck he can get. He went to his sisters begging to stay there tonight... She opened the door saw him and shut it. He kept knocking so she opened it stepped outside and turned the hose on him. icon_lol.gif Not a word spoken to him, just a hse full blast.

All is well that is ending well. She's hurt, she's mad, she' heartbroken but she will grow from this. She can also assure the world next time there will be no bachelor party. thumbs_up.gif

Thinking back neither of us had one. I worked the weekend before my wedding & hubby watched our son. His party was milk & cookies with a 1 1/2 year old. icon_lol.gif

Too funny!

I also find it kind of ironic that the only place she really is having issues with is of all places the church. It sounds like all the rest of the vendors are being as accomodating as they possibly can be given the circumstances. The bigger issue is that several individuals in the scumbag's family don't see there being anything wrong with that type of behavior. HELLOOOO, THAT is an indicator that stay as far away from them as possible because their moral judgement probably isn't the greatest...

Now, the important thing is when she wants to go back with this scumbag in a couple months that everyone remind her of what he did and that the only thing that's changed is he learned to beg better. Now, for the stopped payment check, yea, that'll be a good one to take to the DA's office... Probably will just end up in small claims court, but you never know...

No offence, but I think that's kinda naive! I'm pretty sure that lots of 'exotic/erotic' dancers turn tricks too - kinda like lots of 'escorts' don't just escort their dates KWIM icon_rolleyes.gif ?! I'm in no way saying that it's blanket behaviour, but pretty prolific across the board!

I think going after the other party (hooker/dancer whatever), is pretty tacky. The fiance is at fault here, not her, and I say this as someone who's husband cheated on her whilst I was pregnant right up until he left when my son was 10 months old. Was I angry at the girlfriend? SURE! Did I blame her? NO! Nobody tied up my ex and forced him into it, just as nobody tied up this bride's fiance and forced him against his will. IMO the blame lies firmly at his door!

Whether she was a stripper or an outright hooker.. aren't there laws against what she did? I mean, stripping is one thing, it sounds like it went FAR beyond a lapdance.

That all depends on whether she got paid for the extra 'service', if she didn't, then what goes on between 2 consenting adults is, legally at least, their own business.

People will always have their own views on prostitution, I used to be a police officer in the UK where it's illegal, and now I live in a country where prostitution is a legalised profession, and I know which I prefer to see for everyone's sake!

Issues with him-yeah I would have plunty and it would be OVER. I would also have issues with her. If she was the "dancer" "entertainment" or the "whatever" chances are she knew she was hired for a bachlor party. She knew the guy in question was the groom. And she knew what she was doing was wrong. After a "talk" with me she would think twice about entertaining in that manner at another bachlor party! icon_surprised.gif

I have had to follow this whole thread. I completely understand the need to go after the stripper -- I don't know that it is the right thing to do -- but I understand! No, it may not be her fault, but you still want to go rip her eyes out icon_lol.gif !

I feel so sorry for this bride; however, I wish my ex-husband would have cheated before the wedding instead of after! It is a lot better to have an ex-fiance instead of an ex-husband!

What do we say about cakes here? Business is business? That's what was going on with the dancer/hooker/whatever. Someone wanted to pay for her service - that's business. As to whether it's legal or not, well, I'm not 'legal' either. Does that stop me selling my cookies to anyone that asks me to make them? No.

It's terrible that the poor bride was treated in such a disrespectful way by her groom, but leave the dancer/hooker out of it. For her it wasn't personal, it was business. HE was the one in the wrong.

That's exactly what I was thinking!! If you have ever been in a club/bar at the same time as a bachelor party (or bachelorette party), there is no doubt in your mind that it is a bachelor party and it is not hard to pick out the groom!
