I am having a Tupperware party on Saturday. Want to come? lol Anyway I am always looking for more practice so I thought it would be fun to make a cake for the party to look like a Tupperware product. I considered baking a cake in a bowl and then using fondant to make the lid. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Sheila

Hey, what about that toy that Tupperware makes? I think it is called a sorter. I had them when I was little and now my kids have them. They are blue and red with yellow "puzzle" shapes that the kids find the matching hole and insert the piece. You could make like a 3D sports ball and flatten some of the sides and do the handles in fondant and then have the fondant pieces laying on the cake drum/base

What a cute idea. It would be really cute to make 3 different size bowls and then stack them on top of each other. Or two bowls and then a sippy cup deal with flowers. That is probably a little over the top for what you are thinking. My first thought was the shape sorter that Tupperware used to sell. That would make a fun cake also but probably not a universally needed item. Sorry about the rambling - typing as I think!

That takes me back to the first Day of Sharing I ever attended, two years ago. Nobody brought the dummy for the demo, so they took the cake taker lid, turned it over, and decorated that instead!

hmm it may be neat to make a small bowl with like half of the sports ball pan and then also make a rectangular cake and you could use fondant for lids on both - and stack them.... and maybe make another cake in some other type of tupper-ware like shape - so you would sort of be making a "presentation" of different tupperware products. Sounds like fun! Good luck!

I like the idea of diffrent size bowls stacked. Don't have to be big. Could make small bowls. The toy idea is cute also. Geez it's been years since I went to a tupperware party. Can't imagine what it cost now!

I love the bowl idea. My favorite Tupperware things I own are the "hourglass" shaped salt & pepper shakers. My great-grandma had a set. & my 2 cup measuring cup that had the pour spout lid thing. I don't measure w/it. I drink out of it. icon_lol.gif

The bowl idea is cute.
Tupperware is so expensive. My mom handed some down to me and I still use them.

Nothing is long lasting in my home. Kids, grandkids, when they are not using them for draining the oil, frisbees, feeding the dog or hiding in the oven so I can melt them when I go to preheat the oven, they find some other way to destroy 'em. Glad and Ziplock don't hurt when you lose them. (Although I do love Tupperware)

TUPPERWARE! I am a huge Tupperware fan. I sold it for many years before I found out I loved cake decorating! When your cake is done make sure to post it. No pressure but your cake will probably end up in my favorites!!!

Have fun at your party!
