I'm making a cake this friday for my sons friend.. I asked what does he like? He said he likes that Rap Artist Chamillionare.. I'm thinking who???
so he shows me a pic of this guy..I'm thinking how in the heck am I gonna make a cake with a human face on it.. So I did a search on photo to sketch and came up with this free download.. It's great!!!

http://www.thinkersoftware.com/photo-to-sketch/index2.htm

Here is the pic of the guy he wants me to put on the cake and the sketch of the pic.. WISH ME LUCK!!! my printer does not work.. After I added my photo to the program it gave me a sketched look.. ( you will have to work with the shading and lines a bit to get what your looking for) I taped wax paper onto my comp screen and traced it out with a marker..

man, I've tried to trace stuff like that before paper over the monitor......it's so hard kudos to you for having it turn out like the photo!!!! Also.....most photo editor softwares already have a tool for turning any photo into a black and white sketch......I do it all the time with pics of my kids.....never thought of using it on a cake......brilliant!!!

I will not show that one to my son, he will be 18 in November, and I honestly don't think that I would tackle that one! Great work...I think that guy is on my son's screen saver!!

That came out great. Can I ask how exactly did you do the transfer? What you used? I'd love to try it.

Thanks.

Geez, how in the world did you do that with all of the detailing. It is absolutely perfect. I think you should send it in to his publicist or whomever could show it to him. Who knows, you may be able to get a big order from your fabulous work on that image.

I downloaded the free version of the software, and it is great! However...I would like to know if anyone has upgrade to the paid versions, and if so what are the differces between the free version and the features of the paid!?!?

I really like the software, but I wish I could do more with it...just trying to decide on spending the $$ for the upgraded version!

Very cool! I'm trying to figure out if this free download is compatible with Macintosh computers . . . it doesn't seem to be but if anyone with a Mac figured out how to download it, please let me know!
