I just wanted to share my disbelief with those who would appreciate it... This past weekend I made the Mcqueen cookies in my photos... they took awhile and I was proud of how they came out ( for my first cookie) until... my mother came over last night with a cookie from coloracookie that she found at both target and shoprite for two dollars. The cookie was almost a ringer for the cookie I slaved over, except a little smaller and was only $2!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_sad.gif
Granted, it did not taste like home made... it had an expiration date of 04-23-08!!! They also had many princess character and the rest of the Cars characters!! They are also licesed by Disney... so they look like the exact character icon_cry.gif
How am I supposed to charge $3-4 per cookie when you can buythem at the grocery for cheaper and in some cases cuter!!! icon_evil.gif

ugh!!!! that stinks ( hey I have a really good friend that lives in Smyrna, DE) anyhow.........people who want high quality cookies will still come to you!! those cookies taste horrible.........I've bought them for fun for my kids......and I paid like 4.99 for one and it was disgusting.....my son wouldn't even finish it...actually he tried to give it to the dog under the kitchen table and I found it 2 days later.......the DOG wouldn't even eat it!!! I wouldn't worry about that competition unless people don't taste them!

I just took a look at your cookies and they are just wonderful. I hope that people will realize the time and effort that homemade taste and goodness goes into making this type of order and keep coming to you. There is a huge difference. Don't sell yourself short, you are worth every penny.

omg i know what you mean...my friend had never tried my cookies and i took her kids some..just because....well the next time i saw her she bought 10 of them....said that she had gotten her daughter princess cookies at lowes food ( local grocery chain ) and that they tasted like crap and that mine were way way better tasting....so just get them out there they will sell....cause as you can see the store ones seem to taste like old cardboard.

plus w/ a shelf life like that....just think what they had to put in them **puke**

Those coloracookie things taste bad and they are hard as a rock! Thats how you can charge more.
: ) Your cookies were fantastic.

Did she say anything about the flavor of your cookies vs those cookie?

I always emphasize the "freshness" of my cookies-delivered within 2 days of the dough being made....nothing ever sits on a shelf, or requires an expiration date. I would even go so far as to have someone taste both and see what they think...your cookies rock!

Cannot beat the taste of homemade cookies. The ones in the stores are made with machines. Yours are made by human hands and with love and the taste shines through!
