This is the first time I have tried a loopy bow. icon_rolleyes.gif I thought I was making too many loops and would have extras, but I used every one! icon_razz.gif How did I do? Any and all suggestions or criticisms appreciated. Thanks!

WOW! That looks great. Are you going to put tails on the bow? That is the only thing I would add. Great Job!

I think it turned out awesome! I can't seem to get the hang of them! I can make the loops, but my placement just isn't right!

AWESOME!!

What did you use to form the loops? They are all very even and neat looking.

Somewhere on site is a bow tutorial. It made all the difference in how my bows turned out. I'll see if I can find it and post it.

Cakebabe -- I made the bow for a wedding cake and my sister actually completed the decoration of the cake as I was going out of state to visit my daughter. I left it up to her if she wanted to put tails on it and she choose not to.

Mickig -- it was a little easier than I thought it would be. I used 50/50 mix of fondant/gum paste and used the same to "glue" it together -- took a ball of fondant that I squashed and glued the first row of loops to it and repeated until I was done. It is really helpful IMO to have a dowel rod that you place all the loops on to dry -- give you uniformity in the shape. It probably took a good 2 days to dry the loops before I actually put it together.

I hope you did not doubt yourself. The bow is great! I have tried making bows. Each time it came out looking like it was done by a crack-head with a nervous twitch (lolol). Great job.
