I sit down to ice the 2 doz fire truck cookies and I have a hard time visualizing the design of the truck. Hmmm!?! Strange...

Nope not strange....incredibly stupid....I can't visualize the design because I made TRAINS!!! like a big doofus!!!

Now I have to thaw out more dough.....couldn't be the already thawed dough, Noooo!)...bake, cool, then ice them...so much for an early night.

Sometimes I can just FEEL the BIG FAT L sitting on my forehead.....

Thanks for listening!

Julia

I feel your pain I really do, but that is FUNNY, because it is TOTALLY something I would do! Sorry about your mishap and no early bed for you!

I'm sorry. I can feel your frustration, but from my kitchen where there's no such annoyance tonight, this is funny!!! And exactly something I would do!

I hope it all works out for you!

I forgot to mention that I had already cleaned up too! Grrr!

Wonder what I can do with the trains......besides throw them against the wall that is! icon_evil.gif

Well...I am off to get my whopping 6 hours of sleep now...y'all have a great rest..

Oh man.... that totally sounds like something I would do! Sorry! Are you SURE you can't make fire trucks out of the trains? If it were me (lazy) I would be searching online for any fire truck design that would work with the train outline. Anything to keep from baking more! Sorry, and good luck!

Don't throw them out!!! Give them away if you have to as samples....do you know any little boys or train enthusiasts? I have made the wrong cookies on numerous occasions-don't be too hard on yourself!

Oh sorry to hear that. The other day I was trying to different cookie recipes with 2 different cutters. I was going to take them for a friend's work so they can give me input which they like better. Then I forgot which cookie dough went with cookie cutter. Then latter I figured it out latter..
You are in good company

Don't feel bad. I thought I was the only one who can do stuff like that, happens all the time.

I delivered a wedding cake not too long ago (Western Theme in my pics), that had to have horseshoes piped on it. The bride and groom told me specifically (and I made notes) that horseshoes are lucky, but to be lucky they have to be piped like a "U", otherwise "the luck falls out". Fine, no problem.

It wasn't til after the wedding that the bride called to tell me that the groomsmen picked all the horseshoes off the cake before the wedding. I'm like icon_confused.gif huh? Why would they do that? And she said, "Because they were all UPSIDE DOWN (read: UNlucky)." Great, so I jinxed the wedding...augh! Talk about a "duh" moment.
