I have seen cakes that have chocolate mosaic pieces on the sides.
- Does anyone know how to do this?
- Do you just use candy melts?
- How do you make sure you have a straight edge?

I would love to do a cake like that so I am looking for any tips on how to do it.

Thanks,
Cindy

yeah, they do look pretty cool.
I'd melt the chocolate like normal, and spread it on grease proof paper a couple of millimetres thick. Then, when it is set, but not too hard, mark out a grid on the chocolate using a metal ruler- this gives a straight edge. Dont let the chocolate get too hard.. cause it will crack easily.
hope this helps a little,
mel
