Opinions On This Cake? I Am Not Happy!

I wasn't happy with the wedding cake I made today. I looked like the picture that I was given (pretty much).
I just feel like there are so many issues with this cake. For one, the top square is too big. It looked like it would be fine when we were stacking the pans, but it is just too big to me.
Even though I measured the swags, they just look yucky too me. And I accidentally turned the "back side" of the top layer to the front and it was just too late to fix it. I think I stuch my finger in every layer when I was stacking the cake.
I can't decide if I am being too hard on myself, or if realistically only people who make cakes will notice these type details.
Am I being overly hard on myself, or do I need a dose of reality? This was definitely the most challenging cake I have made so far.
what do you guys think?
I think it looks absolutely beautiful. You are definitely being too hard on yourself and unless your bride is also a cake decorator, I can guarantee you than neither she nor anyone else will notice those small imperfections that we seem to notice. You did a wonderful job!!!
You accomplished a wonderful cake! I think it is great! I love the color - a green wedding cake - how great! Don't be hard on yourself. I bet it was a huge hit!
I didn't notice anything about the swags at all. I think all the decor. looks great. Love the colors. Since you're not crazy about the sizes of the layers, how about making the top one just a little bigger? That would balance the others too.
Blessings!
I just made a post in mnmmommy's thread that i would refer you to!! ![]()

thanks guys. I think I might cry ![]()
I guess it was just a long day and you just don't ever know. I didn't see anyone's reaction because no one was there except some guys putting lights up.
Thanks snickers for the story. I guess it is so true. I will just have to let what I do be the best I can. After all, nothing home made will be perfect.
again, thanks!
I feel better with all the great compliments.
