I am making a cupcake tower with a 6 in round cake on the top tier of the cake stand. The hostess said she had a three teired cake stand, but when I went to go pick it up, it is blue. (I thought it was clear). It is a colbalt blue glass. Soooo......I was thinking that I would do the cupcakes white and brown and then the cake will be white fondant with a brown satin ribbon edge. Do you think that is going to look okay with the blue plates or should I change my color scheme?? Also, I want to add a few small flowers(not white), so what might be a good choice that goes with the blue plates? Thanks!

I think it will be a good combination, use blue flowers in teh same color as the stand. Brown and blue go well together and can be very different than what you normally see in cakes.

Blue and brown are a great combo. There are a few cakes in the gallery that are this combination and they look great.

I agree you should put some blue flowers too. Brown and blue go well together, and be sure to post pics after you're done!!!!
